Omaha Steaks Announces Salute Our Troops Initiative

Omaha Steaks today announced that the company will sponsor a Salute Our Troops initiative throughout the month of May. Events and activities are planned to salute the members of the U.S. military, while raising funds to support the Armed Forces Foundation, a national organization that is dedicated to providing comfort and support to members of the military and their families.

Highlights of the month-long Salute our Troops campaign include:

Ten percent from the sale of specially created Omaha Steaks packages will be donated to the Armed Forces Foundation. Packages are available by calling 1-800-228-9055, online at www.omahasteaks.com or at one of the company’s more than 80 retail stores nationwide.

A Homecoming Heroes Facebook Contest at www.facebook.com/omahasteaks , where people are invited to submit their heart-warming military homecoming stories for a chance to win Omaha Steaks for a year.

An in-store promotion where customers are invited to purchase paper flags at $1 each for display in the stores with all proceeds being donated to the Armed Forces Foundation.
