Omaha Steaks Partners with Social Gifting App ‘Wrapp’

Omaha Steaks and are now making free gift cards for Father’s Day available on Wrapp, the new social gifting app, so if you’re not already Facebook friends with your dad, get on it today.

Wrapp allows Facebook friends to give and contribute to free gift cards provided by top retailers, and makes it fun and easy to receive and redeem the gifts using mobile devices.

“‘Give. Savor. Celebrate’ — that’s our motto, and Wrapp lets us add a new twist to giving America’s favorite steaks to dad this Father’s Day by making it mobile, social and digital,” said Omaha Steaks Senior Vice President and Family Owner Todd Simon. “It doesn’t get easier for you and your siblings this year.”

Added Wrapp CEO Hjalmar Winbladh: “For the all-American dad we’ve got steaks and baseball, and for dads more Euro Cup-inclined, there are a few cool surprises, as well. So, no matter where you and your dad are this Father’s day — physically together or not — Wrapp adds a totally new level of fun and convenience. Happy Father’s Day!”

Wrapp introduced its unique friend-to-friend marketing platform in Sweden in November and took its service to Norway and the U.K. in March. In April, Wrapp launched in the U.S., and, last month opened for business in Finland and Holland.

During the last seven months more than 250,000 active Wrapp users have given their Facebook friends just over 2 million free and paid gift cards that could be redeemed in stores operated by some 90 major U.S. and European retailers.

Participating merchants report that each sale averages four to six times the value of the free gift cardthey let Wrapp users give to their friends.
